Giving Effective Feedback
Giving effective feedback is as important as it is to receive it. This course will assist leaders to provide feedback when it is needed. The correct time to do it and how to structure feedback whether it is formal or informal. They will learn the skill to do this positively, on all levels with an effective and lasting impact.
Conflict is a necessary part of our personal growth and development. Conflict becomes an issue when the people involved cannot work through it and it becomes a battle that does not allow for growth resulting in negative energy, causing damaged. This course will provide the delegate with tools to produce a win-win outcome.
Beyond Workplace Politics
Workplace politics encompasses the power and authority processes and behaviors that are at work in a particular workplace.
Goleman, the co-founder of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) theorized the social aspect of behavior as a complement to the emotional. His definition expanded to: “Social and emotional intelligence involves understanding your feelings and behaviors, as well as those of others, and applying this knowledge to your interactions and relationships.” In his work with CASEL he developed five interrelated sets of Social and Emotional Competencies: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Good Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making. The delegate will be able to recognize and implement these intelligences.
Collaboration is a needed skill to produce results on shared goals. In the workplace everyone has a vision and a perceived outcome. Collaborators are partners and work towards success within the workplace to reap ultimate benefits.
